Mind Maps
Mind maps are a revolutionary thinking tool invented by Tony Buzan. His most famous books are: Head First, Head Strong and The Mind Map Book.
What is the mind map ? It’s the easiest known way to install information into the head and to get information out of your head. This creative and effective way of taking notes will map out your thoughts. Mind maps use a natural structure – starting from the centre and radiate. It matches to the brain’s way of functioning. Mind maps are full of lines, colours, symbols, words and images. That guarantees interesting content for your brain in contrast to a long list of boring lines. Benefits of mind maps are enhancements in:
- creativity,
- productivity,
- time management,
- problem solving,
- concentration,
- thinking,
- memory,
- learning capacities,
- planning,
- communication.
If you want to make the mind map, you need: blank unlined paper, coloured pens and pencils. I prefere to make the mind maps with software. My favourite is iMindMap by Tony Buzan – the creator of mind maps.
